Gérard Herzhaft published thirty books and nearly a thousand articles in both French and English in various periodicals and encyclopedias, a significant part is the music of the Americas (The Great Encyclopedia of the Blues, the Guide Country Music and Folk (with Jacques Bremond) and Americana, Fayard). He designed, collected and annotated most discographic anthologies on the harmonica in Frémeaux and Associates, Universal, Saga and Nocturne. David Herzhaft is professional musician, composer, professor of harmonica and recognized as one of the most innovative diatonic harmonica. He is the author of numerous methods of learning the harmonica and books by genre for this instrument.
